"The Purpose in my Struggle"

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. -Deuteronomy 31:6

I watched a movie tonight about a woman who had a very real struggle and simply wanted some help. In an effort to gain direction in solving HER problems, she found a slew of others who had the SAME issue and had the SAME questions. As the movie continued, there came a scene where one of her best friends, one who appeared to have EVERYTHING, told the main character, "sometimes I find myself being jealous of you." This woman begin telling her best friends all of the reasons why she shouldn't feel that way...."but you're married....you have a beautiful family....you have nice things.....". At this moment the best friend simply replied...."I do....but you are changing the world."

This woman had so many tears, so many hurts, so many pains, and the reality is that she never saw herself leading one of the top orginizations that spoke to the resolution of the Hell that she lived.

It's normal to go through and not WANT to go through. So often we reflect on

Psalms 23:4- "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me", and we emphasize the point of going THROUGH, not buiding a tent or a house there, but always making it a point to get through the bad places so that we can set up residence in the good ones. Going through is no respector of person; no one is exempt, which is why we must realize spiritually and humanistically that everyone has a story, and within that story is a key that leads us into deliverance and victory all while helping to free someone else.

In Deut. 31:6, this is the first of many times that God says "be strong and courageous." Why? What God has for you and I to do, if we really focus on it, buckle down and execute it, is going to take COURAGE....it will demand FOCUS....it will mandate TRANSPARENCY and it will impact and act as a catalyst for DESTINY!

So know this....your struggle...is not anything that God didn't create, and it surely isn't anything that you cannot conquer. God said that He will NEVER put more on us than we can bear. Take the testimony that the adversary has tried or is trying to use to take you out and use it for the platform of victory.......For VICTORY is waiting on you to call it...to claim it..and to WALK IN IT!!

I pray that this blesses your heart...breathes life to your spirit and enhances your walk with Jesus Christ. If you are reading this and have never accepted Him as Lord and Savior...today is an awesome day to make that decision. He's waiting on you.......

Full Circle

"Full Circle"

"And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them." -Romans 8:28

When we think of a circle, we think of it as an object or condition where there is no end, everything is continuously moving and in the midst of it change is not experienced. So often, we say that people do not like to change, yet it is in our nature to want to change, to demand change, when situations insist upon it.

When I was 14 years old, I lost my Father. I recall some of the events that took place that day...being in school and being called up to the office to be greeted by my brother. I remember about him telling me what had happened to our Father, and as much as he was hurting too, made it a priority to ensure my security, safety and comfort. I remember meeting my Grandfather on my Dad's side for the first time and just the overwhelming feeling of meeting someone new...someone who's bloodline I carried on the inside of me. That was the first and the last time that I saw my Grandfather, Nehemiah Troxler.

As years passed, my Grandfather became a distant memory, however the memory of my Father continued to plague me, causing me to feel his loss over and over again, especially on the anniversary of his death and of course Father's Day and on days where I was accomplishing something GREAT and just wished that he could be there to see it. I was around the age of 21, when one day the Holy Spirit told me to "find my Grandfather." There was a tug of war but it didn't last long. In short the day that I found him, he was on his death bed; by the time that his brother realized who I was...my Grandfather had just passed away.

I can honestly say that all of this, though heartbreaking and unfortunate, was all a part of God's perfect plan bring to where I am today. A year ago, as I was speaking with one of my Aunts (on my Father's side), she became so excited at the news of finding out that I was in ministry. She kept saying that she wanted to come visit because I was the FIRST female minister in their family line. In shock, I then began telling her about the next step, becoming an Elder....at which point she became even more excited and said "you are the first female minister in our family, and now you will be the second Elder in our family line!!!" When I asked who the first Elder was, she smiled and replied, "your grandfather!" Humbled does not even begin to describe the feeling that came out of me at that moment....a man I hardly knew and yet GOD saw fit to choose me to continue this legacy!

So you see, life comes with all kinds of adversities, but God's Word holds true...ALL THINGS WORK TOGETHER! So if you are sitting in the midst of a situation as you read this, not knowing what is going to happen next just know that what you are going through is there to PROPEL you in this next level in Him. If you are reading this and have not accepted Jesus Christ in your heart or maybe you have but have gotten off focus, God loves you soooo much, and despite what you have done, there is something He's given you ...beyond grace, past mercy...it's called REDEMPTION! Every experience you have had up to this moment did not kill you for a reason...u are still here because it's all a part of God's process to bring you full circle.

EARTH! FIRE! WIND! WATER! HEART! All these powers combined...I am CAPTAIN PLANET! Isn't it amazing how all of these people..all of these elements came into agreement and victory was always the result!? So many times we want to pick and choose what parts of us we want God to have, yet become disappointed with the results of our situations. In order to get TRUE VICTORY....He wants ALL OF US....positive and negative! HE WANTS TO INVEST THE TIME....DO YOU???

THE TURQUOISE BUTTERFLY. . .

Welcome to the home of the Turquoise Butterfly.

I was told some time ago that my new name is Butterfly because of the changes I had made in my life and the proof of that to the outside world. I have endeavored to change for the positive and to influence in the same vein.

So why turquoise? A lot of people love the color but have no idea what it means or what it does. I have always called turquoise my "power color" because of the compliments I get, but in looking at the color turquoise it lends to the ability to give us clarity of thought and spiritual enlightenment. Our lives are always so cluttered with stuff...some things productive and others not so productive, but either way these things can distract us away from the quiet needed to be able to hear, listen and apply.

So now...the butterfly. An important thing about butterflies is this....given the wrong conditions, they , according to scientists and statistics, like other living creatures can cease to exist. What a fate...that something so beautiful can be reduced to an seemingly insignificant statistic. So my challenge to you is this....so many have said that you wouldn't make it....but use that as your sky. Someone said that you could not handle the atmosphere around you, so use that as your wings, and remember that the Lord HIMSELF said that He would place you at a table before your enemies....So there is no need to fret, no need to fear, no need to allow yourself to get frustrated because all of these "dares" only exist to propel your success.
